Why Does Britain Loves Its Royals?
In the face of danger, they have never backed out cowardly but instead faced every issue head on. That has endeared them even more to the masses. They have always known the fact that they have an example to set before the subjects of their kingdom and they have done things to the best of their capabilities, despite situations turning against them. They have never misused their position and have always used their royal status for charities and other causes. They always try and know what their subjects like and take up issues pertaining to their welfare.
Though the masses love them for all the good that they do, they are followed for one more reason- their extravagant lives and their celebrity status. Every part of their lives seems glamorous and almost all the royals are perennially the favorites of the media. From the late Princess Diana the Princess of Wales, to Prince Harry, who is third in line to the throne, they have been under the media’s glare for their volatile and unpredictable personalities. The recent wedding of Prince William to Catherine Middleton, better known to the world as Kate, saw the transformation of an ordinary girl into a Princess and now they are the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Even before their wedding, all through their ten-year relationship, they were under the media’s scrutiny almost constantly. This shows how much the people want to stay connected with the royals and how they want to follow each moment of their lives.
The British royals prove that all work and no play would make any royal seem dull. They are real people with extraordinary lives that millions of people look up to. However, despite everything, the British just can’t get enough of their royals.
