What to Do When You Are Feeling Hopeless?
Your office is not the best place to be in, you have stopped getting the same romance filled vibes from the guy who once loved everything about you. You don’t want to be inside home but the outside world doesn’t seem to be welcoming either. Nothing tragic has happened yet. This is that phase where everything comes to a still. This is the time when all things bright and beautiful seem colorless and dull. You are not sad because if you were you would want to do something about it, you are, what they call, ‘feeling hopeless’. Even the most pessimist folks would not want to stay in the walls of hopelessness for long. Here is what you need to do when you know it is time for you to stop feeling hopeless.
1. Embrace it
There is no need to run away from it. You are a human at last, and you have all the right to feel hopeless. Don’t worry about what others will think if they get to know about your miserable condition. They also experience the same at times after all. You are not the only one in the world who is graced the feeling of hopelessness. Only when you accept fully that you are feeling hopeless, would you be able to get rid of it. Think calmly about what is going on with you.
2. Spoil yourself
Go get yourself a makeover, go out shopping, and buy something expensive you wanted to for a long time. Do everything possible to make yourself feel like a prince/princess. Don’t wait for anybody else to do it for you; nobody knows what you want better than you yourself. Pamper yourself the way you deserve to be.
3. Be stupid
Remember the good old times, you could be whatever you wanted- wild, illogical, irresponsible and crazy. Play with kids on the street, eat everything you like and do it like a monster if you don’t mind it. Sing your favorite songs, and dance like a hippie. Doesn’t matter if people think you look mad while dancing; it is their problem if they can’t hear the music. Live like there is no tomorrow.
4. Cry
You don’t have to look strong all the time, rather you don’t have to be. Cry if it helps, and cry out loud. Scream if you want to. Crying can be a great emotional outlet. It is a fact that your tears are not just water, they are also potential carriers of your excess stress hormones. Without a doubt, you will feel better. You will get to know what exactly you need in life.
