What To Pack To The Hospital For Delivery?
You will need to pack the delivery bag several days before your due date, just in case. Most health care facilities will give you a list of items to bring. However, we would like to reiterate the important items that are most prone to be forgotten.
1. A pillow and a throw
You will be given one at the health care facility, but carry your most favorite one along. Sometimes such a small thing as your own pillow can be an odd comfort during tiring times. A duvet or a throw that you use at home helps you settle in easily on your delivery bed. So, carry it along if it doesn’t take up too much space.
2. Good luck charm
Some of us have these special talismans given to us by our loved ones that we hold very close to our hearts. It could be a pen from your father or a bracelet from your grandmother. You need to carry them along so that you know you have all the luck in the world to get you through your delivery as smoothly as possible. A photograph of a loved one who couldn’t be near you may also give you a sense of courage.
3. The list
Make a list of all the people you want to call, or your husband to call as soon as the baby arrives. Carry this list along with you to the hospital and ask your partner to keep it safe. After the delivery, you may be too tired to instruct your husband on who all he has to call. So the list makes it all easier.
