6. The goodness of home food

Eating out versus eating at home is a constant debate. If you want to know the results; weigh yourself after two days of eating at home and again weigh yourself after two days of eating outside. You will know the results yourself. Eating at home does not pack in as much calories as much as eating out does. You also get the chance to cook healthy and avoid oily or junk food.

7. Cut down on salt

Salt is essential but is also one of the reasons why food tastes better. Think of a dish without it and you might not binge on it. For quick results, cut down on salt for just one day. Do not continue the habit else you might feel dizzy. But for a day, the diet detoxifies your body and also helps you lose quick pounds.

8. Exercise on the go

So you may not have time to do an elaborate exercise routine. At least not as often as you like. However, exercise is really important for your body. Simple stretches in a day will give you flexibility and over time help tone your muscles. You can do them for ten or fifteen minutes when you visit the little Ladies’ room at work. You can be innovative and even do some stretching exercises when you are stuck in traffic. Taking the stairs regularly, walking about while you talk on the phone or make coffee are great ideas to burn calories. Just make sure you are consistent with it!

9. Don’t be lazy!

So not everyone’s body functions in the same way. But you can lose weight just by being a little more active. For one, do away with the remote. If you need to change channels, get up and use the buttons on the television. Or if that isn’t for you, keep the remote somewhere far so that you have to get up to get to it. When a commercial comes on TV, walk around your apartment; go find that bill you have been hiding away; put your groceries away or even load the washing machine. It will surprise you how much general activity in everyday life can make a difference to the way your body looks and feels!
