5. Do not flash your expensive cameras or phone
There are always thieves in touristic places who keep an eye on susceptible tourists. Carry a cheap camera or a cheap phone and use it only when you need it. Put it in your bag when not in use. This way you would avoid unnecessary attention. Never leave your camera hanging from your shoulder as straps can be easily cut. Since you are travelling alone, you wouldn’t have anyone else to keep an eye on your stuff.
You should carry a many memorable memories from your trip as possible and to so that you need to be happy and safe. Try your utmost to be safe and keep people informed of your whereabouts as much as possible. Also do not accept packages from strangers and be wary of the food they offer you.
