Tips To Save Money While Shopping
This article is specially dedicated to all our shopaholic friends out there. If there is one thing in the world that women crave for all the time, it is shopping. A woman can resist anything in the world, but as soon as she hears that there is this new mall opening in some part of the city, nothing can stop her from rushing to that place with her shopping bags. Whether she really requires something or not, shopping is a bare necessity for her. It is a disease and the only remedy is to swipe her cards and gift her hungry heart all that it wants. Sounds familiar? Are you also one such person? If yes, then at the end of the month, it is this very addiction that will cause you to pay the price of never ending credit card bills and bear the burden of being broke. Read this article and get to know simple tips to help you save money.
1. Wait for sales
One of the best advice that we could give you is to shop during sales. Tell your impatient heart to rest for a little while and wait for the season of sales to come up. During festival seasons like Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter, most malls come up with sales and heavy discounts. This is the right time to shop. Sometimes clearance sales are also conducted at different places. At times like these, even malls come with almost 70% to 80% discounts. Convince yourself that you will not shop at an expensive outlet, unless there is a heavy sale. You will find yourself saving a lot.
2. Shop from smaller stores
Another way to save money is by not being a designer addict or mall loyalist. Small vendors and small stores price their products at much cheaper rates compared to designer stores. Malls normally charge you more because they spend a lot on creating the ambiance and the ‘feel good’ factor which pulls you to them; that’s why, they recover their money by charging you more. Don’t be so fussy, compromise on the ambiance and find yourself a great bargain at smaller stores, thrift stores, vintage stores, flea markets and stalls on the streets. Let alone saving money, you will find much great stuff out there at such places. Then why only restrict shopping to malls? On some months, promise yourself that each time you feel like shopping, they will be from smaller stores. You may surprise yourself by finding better stuff that is nearly half the price of what you get in malls and designer stores.
