8 Tips to Plan Your Day
5. Pin it up and review
Your to-do list should be put up where you can see it frequently and then review it. At the end of the day, sit with your list and check things off. Have you done justice to it? If not, what did you miss out on? Can you put it on the next day’s list or not? Work on it.
6. Use your waiting time
There are times when you have to wait in a queue, or a doctor’s place, or at a bus stop, etc. Use that time to make phone calls or just take deep breaths and relax. You might want to have some refreshment. Go ahead. Use this time effectively.
7. Do not procrastinate
If you open a mail or receive a letter, act upon it now. Answer your mails and letters on time. If you come across an important task other than your to-do list, act upon it, as soon as possible. A plan should not bind you to itself. You should be flexible and have the ability to change plans as per the situation.
8. Don’t be too hard on yourself
Avoid being a perfectionist and try not to be too rigid with your plans. This will add to your stress. Wake up early the next day to work more efficiently. Give yourself a break. Reward yourself when you are able to finish a job well. Plan for a lovely weekend or a visit to the salon or an evening with family.
