4. Develop good eating habits

Good thinking is a result of good mind and for the good mind, you need to have great eating habits. Make them avoid fast food and deep fried cuisines. The best way to do this is to give them nutritious food in fun shapes. Children like playing all the time and you can take benefit from this habit of them. Make squares, triangles, cartoon figures with food to decoy them to eat.

5. Dance when doing household chores

As you know, children have a habit to imitate. You can use this tendency of theirs in a positive way. Dance while doing your household jobs and when your child will see you doing this, they will surely try to copy you. This way, you and your kid will remain fit and active all day long.

6. Show them that you are serious about exercise

You cannot expect your kid to take exercise seriously, if you are lazy yourself. Show your kids that being active is a healthy thing and should be part of their lifestyle. Encourage your kids to join you or have family activities like hiking, skating, etc. Make activities a part of their routine.

7. Keep activities a part of your vacation

Just because it isn’t school time, doesn’t mean your kids shouldn’t be active. Even if you are on vacation somewhere, involve your kids in healthy activities like swimming, skating, tennis, running, etc. Show your kids that holidays can be fun when you get plenty of exercise!
