4. Do not be loud and obnoxious

You do not have to be invisible at work to be nice, but you can stop yourself being loud and obnoxious by not shouting a lot, talking loud over the phone or blowing your nose. Also dress pleasantly so people can approach you easily. Do not overdress or be sloppy as there are a lot of people who judge others by their appearance. A hard as it is to believe, people can actually call you nice for dressing nicely.

5. Do not backbite

Never betray the trust of a colleague in the office by backbiting against him or her. When someone else asks you for an opinion about another colleague, it is best to be diplomatic or not say anything even if you do not like the person.

6. Do not gossip

Just as backbiting is bad and harmful, so is gossiping. Be nice to your colleagues and do not gossip about them with other people. You should also learn to leave work behind at the office and not gossip about them in other places.

Have a nice smile, be pleasant, do your work well, help when you can, thank and appreciate other people and do not do things that are inappropriate in a workplace. Follow these simple tips to become a nice person at the workplace.
