4. Try and see if you can change your mind too
Try and think different for a year. See if you can see the day the way he looks at it. If he think it is frivolous and just a commercial exploitation of people, you should also try to see it from that viewpoint. Maybe there is a chance that you will also see his point and not want to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
5. Make a face, cry and manipulate him
You do not always have to be the understanding girlfriend. You can always create a scene and be the drama queen for the day and get him to do whatever you want him to do. There are chances he will stay mad at you for a while for forcing him to celebrate the day, but sometimes all is fair in love and war.
6. Let go
If you know he loves you, you wouldn’t really care that he does special things for you on one particular day. If he does not believe in it, he needs to be respected for it. Let go of it and find interesting things to do to take your mind off it.
