6. Building a den of your own
Building your own fort or den out of pillows, quilts and bed sheets was not only innovative but immensely exciting. One could hide inside and read amazing books in torchlight. It felt safe and comfortable in these places. Hanging out with your best pal in this den was also quite an experience.
7. Climbing a tree
This is something that most kids have attempted, and have miserably failed at as well. But what childhood is complete without a few bruises? They make for incredible stories later on! Climbing a tree was every child’s fantasy. Seeing the world from that height and acting like you are in the wild was quite a wonderful space to be in. We all have been shouted at while attempting this slightly dangerous but joyous act!
8. Going to a fancy dress party
Some children always took a lot of pride in dressing up for fancy dress parties. It was an event to look forward to, both at school and birthday parties. One would get a chance to dress up as whoever they wanted. While some girls chose to become fairies and angels, boys loved dressing up as soldiers and superheroes. We all got a chance to become our alter ego. It is never too late to have your fancy dress party though, and you must carry on with the trend even as an adult!
9. Believing in Santa
Even if we had realized that Santa does not exist, we still liked believing in him, as he got us exciting presents on Christmas. It was always fun to look forward to what you were going to get on Christmas from Santa. The hanging of the stocking, and the sleepless Christmas Eve just added to the already built up excitement. There was nothing that came close to the joy of getting a secret gift from a secret Santa.

10. Having a best friend for ever
Best friends were siblings that God forgot to give us. They were the guardians of our lives. They would know everything about us. Best friends were people you embarked on your silly adventures with. They were the first to know all your silly little secrets. They stood by you, no matter what. These were the kind of friends who always stuck with you. They helped you with all their heart. They were the ones who accompanied you when you were doing all your naughty things, and your childhood was definitely incomplete if you didn’t make a best friend!
It’s time to make a list of your own now and try ticking off things from that list. As they say, your life is only complete when you either relive you childhood or finish things that you did not do as a child.
