The 5 Stages Of Grief
4. Depression
The fourth stage is where the feeling of dejection becomes so overpowering that one slips into depression. This is an immense feeling of helplessness and lack of luck and one mourns over whatever misfortune has befallen. One continuously broods over the loss one has suffered, the damages done and the various negative outcomes that have occurred or are yet to occur. One begins to lose hope and stops believing that eventually things will become better.
5. Acceptance
Acceptance is the final stage of grief. This is the stage when you have finally come to realize that the loss suffered is irrevocable and that mourning over it is not going to undo any misfortune or bring back a loved one from the dead or reverse a breakup. At this stage, one is able to accept the fact that whatever has happened has come to pass and now is the time to move on in life. This is where an individual is healed from the feeling of helplessness that the grief originally inflicted.
One must necessarily pass through all these five stages in order to fully recover from the mental trauma that grief causes. One needs to sustain all these stages and move on in life accepting whatever has happened and look forward to the future.
