3 Symptoms of Yeast Infection
Yeast infection can disrupt your normal functioning as the symptoms can cause a great amount of pain and discomfort, if not treated in due time. On identifying symptoms of yeast infection, you need to immediately consult with your doctor to know the reason behind it. Sometimes this could be related to consumption of certain antibiotics during menstrual cycle, consumption of birth control pills, poor eating habits, sleeping habits, wrong sexual practices and personal hygiene or a side effect of a medication. 1. Itching, soreness and burning sensation
One of the first symptoms of a yeast infection is itching near the vaginal area. Besides that, soreness, and burning sensation while passing urine also tag along to signal that what you’re going through a yeast infection.
2. Vaginal pain
Vaginal pain and discomfort during urination and while having sexual intercourse is a sign of vaginal yeast infection.
3. Vaginal discharge
Greyish white vaginal discharge, which has a thick consistency is a common symptom of yeast infection. Maintaining hygiene and dryness in the vaginal area is very important.
If you notice any of these symptoms, consult a gynecologist and have the prescribed medication. The gynecologist would give anti fungal medication dose which you would have to consume for a period of time and the infection would be treated. The vaginal yeast infection can be treated by applying ointment and creams that are easily available, but choose one according to the gynecologist’s prescription. Apply the ointment or cream regularly for a certain period of time, at least until the infection is cleared.
