Single Child Blues? Find Out How You Can Keep The Loneliness At Bay

Adam was still unhappy about was his long hours at work that were not letting him spend time with his son. He sensed a growing distance with his child. ‘Both my wife and I make sure our time after dinner and before sleep are devoted completely to Zeus and to nothing else. We try and talk to him about things that he would otherwise share with a sibling, if he had one’, says Adam.

Zacky had shared their dilemma about Zeus growing up as a single lonely child with Zues’ grandma, Mrs. Robinson, and she knew the right solution for it was a pet. One fine Saturday morning Zeus was thrilled, not only because he saw his grandma after ages, but also because she had bought him a lovely gift – a puppy! They named the puppy, Hara. It was like welcoming a new family member. Maybe you could consider bringing in a pet too?

Another great way to make sure your single child does not feel lonely is to tell him/her how lucky he/she is. ‘If you had a sibling, you would have to share your clothes, your chocolates, your toys, your bed and much more. Would you want that?’

Adam and Zacky’s story is inspiring. We hope thousands of parents out there with single children are put to ease now.
