9 Signs You’re being Forced Out of your Job
6. Your boss has hired a junior
One of the most subtle ways of saying goodbye to an employee is to bring in a junior. If your boss has recently hired a junior and asked you to train him for your responsibilities, you should realize that you are being eased out of your job.
7. You are made to work overtime
It may even happen this way. Instead of reducing your responsibilities, your boss may overload you with some more. Under some pretext or the other, your boss starts assigning you tasks that apparently require ‘immediate’ attention. This is his way of letting you know he does not want to see you in his office anymore.
8. Your boss makes oblique references to you about another job
You receive indirect suggestions of you being better off working from home. Or your boss may make a casual mention, once too often, about a more profitable job elsewhere. Why is your boss seeming overly concerned about bettering your career graph? There’s got to be something odd going on here. Recognize the tell tale signs of being pushed out of your job, albeit politely!
9. Your boss passes sexist comments
Your boss leaves no chance at all to downsize you. He makes covert comments on the capabilities of the fairer sex to be as successful as their male counterparts. The message is crystal clear. He is showing you the door!
