4. You raise your voice during arguments
Observe how your arguments proceed. Do you disagree in a calm and rational manner or does every argument escalate into a huge fight? Do you start getting angry, shout and call names? Do you shut down after a fight and refuse to communicate with your partner? While fights between couples are normal, if you are displaying such behaviors every other day, it is not healthy.

5. Your partner is scared of you
No matter how much your partner loves you, if he is not comfortable around you and is afraid of you, there is a problem. Your partner should be relaxed in your company. If your partner ends up doing things only to please you or becomes extra careful of using words in front of you, for fear of making you angry, you should check your behavior.
