5 Signs it is too Soon to Move in Together

4. You’re both not settled financially

Moving in together will definitely split the house rent between the two of you, along with food costs, electricity bills, etc. However, sooner or later one of you will try to make the house a ‘home’, and you’d want to opt for a better television, or a better something somewhere in the house. If you don’t have a big amount of savings and your salary is forcing you to live pay check to pay check, then sooner or later, financial issues will come in between the two of you. Before you know it, the arguments will even get more ugly.

5. You’re only talking of physical intimacy after moving in

While discussing your moving in plans, if you are constantly only talking of how great it’d be for both of you as you’d get to have more sex, and could be in the shower together etc., then you need to pause. Physical intimacy or proximity is not reason enough for you to move in together. So wait till both of you mature enough in the relationship, to actually move in together for understanding each other, and not because you’d get to have more sex.

There is no definite time period that can be considered ‘ideal’ to move in together. It depends from couple to couple, and only when you and your partner feel that you’ve reached the peak of your relationship, physically, mentally and emotionally, should you take a big step like this.
