How To Use Essential Oils?
For Hair
Essential oils are a great way to keep your crowning glory, healthy and glowing. Depending on the hair type these essential oils can be used.
Oily hair – In 15 ml hazelnut oil, add 2 drops of petitgrain oil, 2 drops of lemon and 2 drops of lavender. Shake them well. Store it in a bottle, take only one spoon of this mixture and apply it to the roots of your hair. Wrap a towel. For excellent results, leave it overnight or at least for few hours. Then wash your hair with a natural shampoo for gentle cleansing. This can be done three times in a week.
Normal hair – Mix 4 drops of thyme oil, 3 drops of sage, 3 drops of chamomile and 3 drops of lavender with 15 ml of jojoba oil. Using this mixture, you can follow the process written above.
Dry hair – In 15 ml of sesame oil, add 5 drops of ginger, 5 drops of bois de rose and 3 drops of lavender oil. This mixture can be used in the same way mentioned above. Tea tree oil, basil and chamomile can be used for treating dandruff.
By diffusion
We can use essential oils through diffusion in any of these three ways, like adding a drop of essential oil to a tissue or a hanky, for example a drop of eucalyptus oil on a tissue or handkerchief can help in relieving congestion in the chest or a drop of jasmine to feel stimulated. The next diffusion method is steam diffusion which is used in most diffusers. In a bowl of hot water, few drops of essential oils are added. This will help to spread the fragrance as well as healing powers. This is excellent for stimulating or relaxing the mind. The third method is by using candles with essential oils or essential oils added to heated plain candles. This helps you to de-stress. Candles with essential oils are used with spa baths and massages to get maximum results.
For skin care
