How to Put The Past Behind?
Every individual in this world will have two things about which he/she worries the most. One being the life he/she has led and the other is the life he/she will live. Planning for the future and working towards it is always a wonderful thing as it involves the betterment of an individual. However thinking about the past and letting the past activities rule life is not something that a person should do. Given below are a couple of tips which one can follow to put the past behind.
1. Record
When you are in a situation where you feel your past haunts you, open a notepad where you can write down the situation. Keep writing until you are able to conclude on what you have learned from that incident. Every activity has a positive and a negative effect to look at. Always aim to see the positive side of the activity.
2. Apologize
If there is something from the past which you cannot get out of your mind, the first and foremost step you must take to conquer it is to analyze the flow of events and understand the root cause of the problem. If you feel that the cause of the problem is you yourself and that you can make the situation all right by apologizing, then do not hesitate to apologize. Never forget to move on with your life.
3. Forgive
On the other hand, if the root cause of the problem is someone else and that haunts you a lot, the best solution to conquer the situation will be to forgive the person for what he/she has done. Remember, by forgiving that person, you are not only conquering the situation, which will make you feel better but also ultimately, you can move on with your life.
