5. Let your kids design their food. There are so many healthy sauces, dips, jams and jellies. Either buy them or make them at home and put them in squeeze packs. The bread can be canvas where your kid can draw on with whatever he or she likes. Finally, your little one will also be tempted to eat the final product.

6. Introducing silly names to healthy foods and referring to it as often as possible in a story or conversation make your child gain familiarity to the food. This way he/she will relate to it better during mealtimes.

7. Narrate a story with the different food items on his/her platter. Pea kings and potato queens living in a forest where broccoli can assume forms of trees. Build your story gradually and after a few days, you will notice that your children are making stories by themselves.

8. Make dinners or every meal a form of celebration. Let kids help you clean and set the table and serve food. You could also let them teach you how to eat food. This way they will end up eating their food.
