3. Motivate, motivate!

Most employees become slackers because they lack the drive to work. They look for motivation and encouragement in their jobs but rarely do they find them. So, if your team member is reluctant to do a job, tell them how important their work is and how much you value their contribution. A pat on the back will boost an employee like nothing else.

4. Get involved

If you can sit with the team member for a few minutes everyday, then do so. Make a visit at few intervals to understand how far the team member has completed the task. Don’t hover, but inquire about the status. It could be a good idea to suggest some methods and share ideas about the task that you have assigned to them. It is essential to understand that bosses do not simply delegate tasks; they are expected to get involved in the tasks.
