How to Choose the Best Hairbrush?
3. Thermal brushes
These range in size, from small and medium to big and are used with the help of a blow dryer. While the smaller ones work as a curler and give a nice curly touch to the hair, the bigger ones are used for straightening and add shine and silkiness to long hair. Be careful, however, not to use them on exceptionally tangled hair, because that might cause hair breakage and get tangled even more.
4. Narrow brushes
These brushes are good for working on layers and backcombing. You will notice that a lot of the styling brushes will be narrow, to work on smaller sections of the hair and create interesting hairstyles. Close-set bristles on brushes are the ones that are easier to manage. Most styling brushes can be used for straightening, polishing and shaping.
Always remember that hairbrushes need to be cleaned on a regular basis. You can’t let your hair be stuck to the brush or tangled with the bristles, as later on the bristles won’t work on your hair effectively. This might also cause your hair to look very oily. Also, never use your brush on wet hair immediately after head wash, as it will cause breakage and damage. There are however, special brushes with broadly spaced bristles for the purpose of detangling on wet hair.
