A working mom with two kids to take care of has to undergo a lot of stress. Her life both at work and at home demand a lot of perfection. To top that, people at her workplace as well as her family may not be so understanding as to know what all she has to go through day in day out. Are you able to identify with such a situation? Then, take a look at some steps you can take to reduce that stress.
1. Get time for yourself
You have to make some time for yourself. ‘Make’ is the keyword here. Do not wait for your family to give you some time. Make it for yourself. Set aside a special time for yourself everyday, when no one has the right to interfere, unless it is an emergency. Ask your husband to take care of your kids during this time. It does sound a little hard, but it can be done.
2. Relax
Take at least 20 minutes a day, preferably some time in the middle of the day, to lay down and relax. Strain all your body muscles one by one and then relax them. This short resting time would keep you energized throughout the day.
3. Sleep
You may not be able to get proper sleep, given the amount of responsibilities and people that you need to handle. But, unless and until you don’t sleep well, you won’t feel refreshed and fit enough to tackle the responsibilities that come your way. Ensure that you get enough sleep at least on weekends. Ask your husband, relatives or friends to baby sit your kids for a day, so that when you go to sleep you aren’t worried about what happens to your kids and the likes.
