Meditation is also a great way to relax and get out of a funk. When you meditate, you try to shut off the things that depress you. This lets your mind to relax. When you have less or no reasons to get depressed, you will feel lighter and happier.
6. Go out
Go out and have a good time when you are depressed. You can have a great time even when you are alone. You can catch a movie, go to a bar and have a drink or catch an art exhibition. Taking your mind off your worries is a great way to get out of depression.
7. Head out with friends
If you have great friends, make some time and hang out with them. The gossip, the chatter, laughter and just the company is a great and a quicker way to help you get out of you depressed state.
8. Travel
Take some time off work or your daily life and travel. It is always best when you travel alone. When you travel with someone you know, you tend to talk about what is depressing you. When you are alone and travelling, you meet new people and have more things to learn and talk about that you do not feel depressed anymore.
