5 Great Tips On How to Apply Eyeliner
Eyeliners have for long enjoyed the ‘must have’ spot on a woman’s makeup list. Eyeliners accentuate the eyes and are applied around the contours of the eyes to precisely define them. Eyeliners are available in a variety of colors; while black, grey, blue, brown remain to be few popular choices. Though the use of bright solid colors has also picked up, and is quite a rage especially among the teens. Eyeliners are also available in various textures. Liquid eyeliner, powder-based eyeliner, wax-based eyeliner, kohl eyeliner and gel-based eyeliner are variants available in the market. Let’s learn how to apply an eyeliner, to help you create a new look for different occasions.
1. Eyeliner on both the upper and lower eyelid
Begin by applying a fine line in one stroke on the upper contour just very close to the eyelash. Repeat the same for the lower contour as well. This two-way application gives a striking look to the eyes.
2. Natural look: upper eyelid only
Apply the eyeliner on just the outline of the upper lash line. You can draw a thick or thin line from the inside corner of your eye to the edge of the eye, just where the upper eyelash ends. You can also experiment by applying the stroke only on the outer half of the eyelid, depending on your eye size.
3. The winged look
Use a pointed or angled brush and begin by applying the eyeliner from the inner to outer edge of the upper eyelash. Make a line at a 45 degree angle, beginning from the outer corner. The winged stroke is generally darker and broader in shape. Gel-pot eyeliners are considered ideal for this style.
