Easy Remedies For Dry Skin
Avoid tap water to cleanse your face
I don’t need to tell you that tap water has chlorine, fluoride and other unwanted chemicals. I suggest that you use mineral water or purified water to cleanse your face. Don’t have mineral of purified water? No worries – use an alcohol free cleaning lotion or any natural ingredient based cleanser. I have friends who even use toners and cosmetic milks, and they swear by it! What’s the best for you? I believe that you should give all the options a try before you zero it on one.
Exfoliate cautiously
Dry skin sometimes becomes patchy and flaky. Don’t start attacking such areas every time with the scrubber. Be cautious. I suggest that you exfoliate on a weekly or a semi-weekly basis. Don’t hurry when you do it. Take some time out, exfoliate, massage with oils, and then top it off with a moisturizer. I think it is best to do this before you sleep. This allows the skin to soak in all the moisture overnight and lets you wake up with lovely soft skin. Yeah, we all crave that, don’t we?
Stay away from the vices
Cigarettes, caffeine, alcohol – all these will suck you dry. Yeah, we all know the nasty feeling after a big night out. I’m not asking you to cut back on fun. Just don’t make this a regular habit. And about smoking – don’t even do it for fun. It’s just not worth it for your dry skin, and for your life.
