Are Frozen Foods Healthy?

The vegetable and fruit servings we should have ideally lack in frozen foods, unless of course you are having a frozen dessert, which again is not really anything compared to fresh fruit. This deprives your body of the essential minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and other useful compounds found in fruits and veggies.

The only good thing about frozen foods is the fact that they are of a fixed size, and represent the ideal portion size of your meal. Something which you can use as a yardstick to measure against the quantity of food you consume when you are not using some defrost, heat, and eat method.

All in all, frozen foods should not be a part of your diet. Learn to make up some quick healthy meals, and eat fresh!
