Jen’s full name is Jennifer Joanna Aniston. Her middle name, Joanna, is that of her paternal grandmother’s. She was always meant to be an actor as not only were her parents John Aniston and Nancy Dow veteran actors but so was her godfather Telly Savalas. Jen is of Greek origin from her father’s side and part Scottish and part Italian from her mother’s side. The family’s last name was changed from Anastasakis to Aniston by her father before his marriage. Jennifer was born on 11th of February, 1969 in Sherman Oaks in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles. After her birth, the family went on to live in Greece for a year but came back to New York in just a year’s time as a result of her parents’ career. Jen’s sun sign is Aquarius and her Life Path Number is the Master Number 11. Jen’s parents John Aniston and Nancy Dow filed for divorce when she was only nine years of age and her mother gained legal custody of her. Since then, she began staying with her mother in New York.
Acting has always been Jen’s passion, especially so when she came from a family of actors. She got the first taste of her passion in acting while participating in Rudolf Steiner School, New York’s drama club. In order to pursue a profession in acting, she completed her graduation from Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in Manhattan, New York.
