With the increasing cost of college tuition and interest rates, finding jobs that actually pay well and don’t need a degree is the best thing to do. The fact is these jobs pay the same or more than the jobs that you would get with a college degree. Here is a list of great jobs you can get without a college degree.
1. Personal shopper
If you love shopping and think you can effectively dress up people, then this is the job for you. You do not need a degree for this job, just a keen eye for details and good taste. Also important is to know where to buy what. A lot of business people, actors and people who have less time or do not want to be seen publicly employ personal shoppers. It pays well and turns something as fun as shopping into a job which is all the more great.
2. Dog walker
Contrary to what most people think, dog walking can mean a lot of money if you devote your entire day to it. You just need to be animal friendly and take real good care of the dogs. This could be done by anyone who is fit.
3. Subway operator
The median wage is around 50k and more. You do not need a college degree, just a high school diploma or equivalent is enough and it comes with many benefits too. It does not tax you too much either.
4. Actor
You don’t even need a high school diploma. If you really make it big, there is a lot of money to be made in this profession. Not to mention the fame that comes along with it. You need a bit of talent and a lot of contact to make it big here. College degrees hardly or do not matter at all.
