Being organized at work may not be as difficult or time consuming as you may think. Here are some smart and effective ways to work well and give your productivity a boost.
1. Clean your desk space
Every once in a while, take some time out to clear out the clutter on your desk. You will be amazed to realize how many useless papers and stationery items would be taking up most of the space. Also, you might end up finding that important piece of document that you had been hunting for a while! That’s not all, a cleaner desk area will also give you a clarity of thought and a sense of where things are- literally and metaphorically.
2. Set realistic goals
Every morning when you start your day at office, set some practical and sensible goals for yourself. While doing this, it is very important to figure out what’s important. You could list your goals from ‘most important’ to ‘least important’. This way, you will know right at the start of the day where to channelize your energies and what to focus on.
3. Make a check list
Making a to-do list will really help you work in a systematic manner. As and when you finish a task, cancel it off the list. This will give you a sense of achievement and will help you know how far you have come and how far you need to go. Also, you will be able to pace things as per the set target.
