1. Diseases
If you are consuming diet soda on a regular basis, you must know that it contains different kinds of sugar substitutes such as aspartame to add sweetness to the drink. These additions put you at a risk of metabolic syndrome resulting in type 2 diabetes. Other risk factor related to health includes high blood pleasure and cholesterol problems.
2. No health gain
If you want to lose weight, it’s better to substitute your regular diet with something more healthy and nutritious like buttermilk or fruits and fruit juices. Diet soda neither has any calories nor does it contain any nutrients that benefit your body. It’s just an artificially sweetened drink.
3. Caffeine content
Sometimes you resort to diet drinks and keep away from decaf coffees because you think milk can make you fat. And decaf coffees are also not very pleasing to the sense of taste. But, you should know that diet soda has caffeine too. Large amount of caffeine consumption causes sleeplessness, tiredness and irritability.
