11 Signs You are Being Played
When you are in love, the whole world seems rosy to you because you are looking at it with love tinted glasses. Sometimes it may blur the reality for you, and make you vulnerable. So look out for these signs to know if you are being played by the man you love:
1. He doesn’t know the ‘real’ you, nor seems interested in knowing
You’re allergic to Chinese, but he takes you to a Chinese restaurant. You hate horror movies, but he still takes you to watch one. Those small little details that make you what you are, he seems to be missing them, almost always!
2. Every time you talk about your dreams/desires/ambitions/emotions, he goes into ‘auto mode’
Everything you say elicit auto responses such as, “huh”, “OK”, “That’s good” or “Hmm”. He’s merely hearing your words, ignores them, and the things that matter to you most don’t seem to interest him.
3. He doesn’t make you feel like ‘the queen of his heart’
He doesn’t plan any special candle night dinners for you or breakfast in bed surprises. Neither does he gift you without reason, nor does he make you feel special by planning something for you.
4. He doesn’t embrace/caress you without reason
He doesn’t cuddle or caress you. He doesn’t hold your hands or embrace you without reason. In short, the physical contact is limited to sex.
5. He doesn’t open up with you
You don’t feel like he really ‘talks’ to you. There’s always something between the two of you when you are together. This is because he’s trying to maintain the distance while making the most of you.
6. He is not interested in meeting your parents
Neither does he want to meet yours, nor does he want you to meet his. He keeps avoiding this topic when you often bring it up.
