1. Trust a person when you have nothing to lose
Whether it is reputation, money, goodwill, time or friends, you can freely trust a person when the stakes are not high at all. If you need to trust someone to get a small job done, you don’t need to do a personality analysis to find out whether that person is trustworthy or not.
2. Trust a person when you think a fair chance is due
There can be times when you have heard good things about someone through a common friend but you may not have had a chance to interact with that person directly. In such a case, you may want to place your trust on the goodwill which precedes that person to give him/her a fair chance.
3. Trust a person who has not been caught lying
If a person has a general history and reputation of being deceitful, you may want to be weary and careful. On the other hand, you may go ahead and trust someone who has never betrayed anyone or lied repeatedly or has an impression of being a liar.
