How to Make a Life Plan?
No matter in what stage of life you are currently in, you must sit back, take a deep breath and contemplate a plan for your life. Chalking out your life plan is not futile because the future is not defined. It is the decisions you make and the steps you take that give shape to your life-your past, your present and your future. Who we are is not a result of our capabilities, but that of the choices we make. Here’s some advice on how to make a life plan.
1. Evaluate
In every aspect of your life, give a score to yourself and define where exactly you stand. Set your own parameters and decide what your current position is and where you need to improve. You will realize what steps you require to take in order to move closer to your goal in life. Your goal in life will act as a base on which you will rate yourself and will decide what exactly needs to be done in order to achieve what you want. You will be clear as to what the various pros and cons are with regards to the steps you will take. You will then have a full life plan charted out to follow.
2. Take time
Keep in mind you will have to devote a certain amount of time to be able to accomplish this. Charting out a life plan is not a day’s work (or two!) for you need to be conscientious while you do this. Find a quiet place, keep aside a couple of days, keep yourself aloof from preoccupations and execute this. Do it in steps over a period of days before finalizing your life plan.
3. Prioritize
Prioritize your roles as a person as regards to not only what you are expected to be and do, but also what you want to be and do. Remember, that at the end of the day, your life belongs to you and only you are the one who is going to live it entirely, not anyone else on earth. You will decide what is important to you and what you want from life.
