6. Scrape the peanuts
While grinding the peanuts in the food processor, they tend to move out of the range of the blade where they cannot be chopped or grounded. You should therefore scrape peanuts from the food processor to mix them back.
7. Continue grinding
You can now continue to grind the mixture until you get the desired consistency. For coarser peanut butter, you need not process peanuts too much. However, for a smoother paste, grind the mixture for a long time.
8. Add salt or sugar
After getting the peanut butter of your desired consistency, taste it and accordingly add salt or sugar as per your taste. You can also add brown sugar or honey if you prefer sweeter peanut butter.
9. Store it in an airtight container
You can place your freshly prepared peanut butter into an airtight container and store it safely in the refrigerator. As the oil tends to separate over time, do not forget to stir it while serving!
