Hair worries constitute an altogether different chapter in your daily health and beauty regime. It’s not quite easy to maintain beautiful, healthy and lustrous hair and keep them damage-free at the same time! Many of you women, also do suffer from the problem of hair fall. It can be caused by genetics, aging, diseases, stress or insufficient diet. But ladies, don’t be disheartened as there are ways to prevent hair fall! Continue reading to find out about the ways to prevent hair fall.
1. Wash hair frequently
Washing your hair regularly with a mild shampoo keeps your hair and scalp clean and clear of dirt and dust. It also prevents infections which might lead to hair loss. And you do prefer bouncy, fluffy hair as compared to flat, dirt-matted hair, don’t you? That’s what happens when hair is not washed regularly.
2. Cut down on hair treatments
Treating your hair artificially many times will only lead to hair loss and damage. Blow drying, ironing, perming, heating procedures and use of hair curlers, hair straighteners and hot brushes damage your hair to a great extent. So let them dry naturally and be natural – curly or straight hair. Dye your hair in a gap of 6-8 weeks as excessive dyeing also leads to hair loss.
3. Style your hair gently
You’d think what’s wrong in tying your hair in a high ponytail? Well, the strain caused due to the tight ponytail may potentially lead to hair loss. Even too tight clips, rubber bands can cause your hair to loosen and fall. Thus, you need to be away from tight hairstyles such as tight braids and plaits, corn-rows and tight ponytails.
4. Never rub and brush wet hair
After a bath, don’t rub your hair vigorously. This will only lead to more strands falling off your head. Brushing your wet hair pulls out hair that could still be growing. You don’t want to do that to your hair, do you? To remove tangles, use your fingers instead of a comb or brush. If you just have to comb wet hair, then use a wide-toothed comb, not a brush.
