8 Tips to Prepare Your Child For a New Sibling
5. Count the days with your older kid
Hang a calendar on a wall and mark your due date on it. You can count each and every passing day with your older kid. This will keep your kid excited about the baby’s arrival.
6. Assign small responsibilities to your kid

For instance, you can tell your kid that it is his/her responsibility to decorate the baby’s crib. You can guide and help your kid while he/she decorates the crib. Tell your kid regularly that he/she is a responsible big brother/big sister. This will motivate your kid.
7. Let your kid read story books to the baby
