5. Don’t feel bad to ask for help
Once you have decided to live alone on your own terms, you will surely come across several obstacles that you have to sort out yourself. However, you would need outside help for this. So, don’t be scared to ask for help. If there is something that you don’t know, feel free to ask someone you can trust. Only then will you learn to do it on your own.
6. Be selfish
There is no need to feel guilty about dropping your kids to your spouse. Try and enjoy the time you get alone. This is your time. Utilize it selfishly. There is no point in crying over circumstances that cannot be changed. Instead move on and have fun. After all, you too have the right to be happy!
7. Socialize
Try and avoid being alone all the time. Move out, meet people, catch up with your old friends, make all the possible attempts to socialize and stay connected with people around you.
8. Avoid Regression
Divorce tends to make you weak and helpless and it becomes very easy for you to succumb to circumstances easily as you may not feel too very comfortable with yourself. Try not to surrender to self pity and helplessness. You have to make successful efforts of coming out of the garbage pit instead of decaying into it.
