8 Things to Consider Before Traveling Around the World
5. Travel card
Approach your bank branch for an international travel card and make sure it is accepted in all the countries you are planning to visit. You need to carry some cash as well in case of an emergency. See if different currencies can be accepted on one travel card. Traveler’s checks are a good option as well.
6. Places to visit
Plan your route as per the season. Like India should not be visited during the peak of summer. You won’t enjoy it that much. European countries can be considered in summer and spring as the weather is pleasant. Look at the places where there is heavy monsoon so as to avoid visiting those areas.
7. The amount of garments to carry
Carry clothing as per your requirements like summer and winter gear, rain coats and jackets. Sometimes you can also rent these if you want to avoid excess baggage and travel light.
8. Language guides and maps
If you are a planning a trip all by yourself to get away from your routine and just take a long break, it’s a good idea to carry language guides to communicate in foreign countries and have fully functioning GPS so that you can find your way around.
