8 Steps to Do When a Friend Dumps You
5. Accept reality
People come into your life for a purpose. Probably the purpose why the two of you became friends has been fulfilled and now it is time for the two of you to part. What is important is that you have no hard feelings towards them. What is more important is that you learn someone useful out of this. Do keep the good old times you shared with this friend close to your heart, so that you can always look back and smile. Also let go of the bad times.
6. Forgive yourself
If somewhere you realize that you made a mistake, it is time to forgive yourself. It does not matter whether your friend has forgiven you or not. First you need to forgive yourself for that and make up your mind that you will never do that to anyone else.
7. Learn to adjust
You have to understand that no friendship can survive without a person bending down a little at times. If you really value your friendship and genuinely want to make it work, then it is advisable that you sometimes learn to compromise and move on from “Me” to “Us”.
8. Move on with life
Finally moving on with your life is the best thing you could do for yourself. Losing a friend is not easy. It can be very painful. You may feel a sense of loss or as if a part of your body has been ripped apart. However, hard times like these will make you stronger. Hence after a point you should make yourself understand the bitter truth that probably your friend is never coming back. So you have to put yourself together and move on.
Sometimes when such things happen, you tend to feel that you will never find a real friend again. However that is not true. If you believe that you can find a friend even more wonderful that your previous friend was, you surely will.
We truly wish that you do! Have a great life.
