8 Inventions that Have Become Redundant Today
5. Typewriters
It’s like typewriters have literally vanished from the face of the earth. Once upon a time, the typewriter was an office essential and the job of a typist was a much coveted one. Since the advent of PCs, typewriting has become a thing of the vintage.
6. Photographs
This is the digital age and people are all connected wirelessly. Although people still use cameras to click pictures (a trend which is also on the way out soon), they connect the USB cord to a laptop or PC and transfer the photos. Facebook albums have replaced real thick photograph albums.
7. VCRs
Since video cassettes became redundant, VCRs also stopped being purchased, and hence their sales dwindled at a fast rate. Everyone out there has a DVD or a Blu Ray player. Who cares about the VCR anymore.
8. Fax machines
The young generation of today has probably never used a fax machine and never will. This was the popular office must-have item in the 80’s and 90’s, but it is just seen as a clunky old rusted instrument serving no purpose in today’s day and age.
