5. Keith Urban throws Canadian fans out of concert
After a 2006 concert that Australian country singer and Hollywood star Nicole Kidman’s husband, Keith Urban, performed at, rumors started circulating that he had shown rudeness to the country by making some of his Canadian fans leave the show. His grudge against Canadians apparently stemmed from the fact that Canada hadn’t participated in the Iraq war effort. This was a hoax news of course as many concert goers admitted that nothing of this sort had occurred.
6. Shakira insults Israelis
Pop singer Shakira found herself at the receiving end of a slanderous hoax way back in 2002. As per the untrue piece of news, she was on an MTV show and was entertaining callers in the studio when a fan of Israeli origin called. She didn’t entertain her call stating, “I’d rather have pigs listen to my music than Israelis.”
7. Tupac is alive
Long after controversial rapper Tupac Shakur expired, rumors about him being well and alive and roaming around on the Beverly Hills streets started in 2005. A hoax web page which looked like a CNN report revealed that the murdered rapper was actually not dead. People went into a frenzy but only for a short time as the lie was caught soon thereafter.
