7 Tips to Organize a Baby Shower for a Friend
5. Keep a tab on the time
A baby shower should ideally last from 2-4 hours and not stretch beyond that. Pregnant women shouldn’t stress themselves so much and need rest. So how much ever merry the guests may be making, make sure you let them know when it’s time to leave.
6. Make memorable return gifts
Since guests of baby showers usually get presents, it is courteous to hand them over a memorable return gift. You could give them small pouches of gourmet chocolates along with a note that thanks them from the mother as well as the unborn baby’s side. You could gift them flower pots, perfumes, monogrammed handkerchiefs, etc.
7. Make a memory for the baby
Since baby showers are all about pampering the mother and baby by spoiling them with gifts, instruct guests to get a gift for the mother, baby or both. This way, even after the unborn child grows up, he or she and their family will always have a token of the guests’ love with them. You could also tell guests to write a message for the baby in a scrapbook which can later be filled up with pictures from the baby shower. This would make a nice and memorable gift for the mother to share with her newborn.
