5. Read your book at least once

You do not need to rote learn. Rote learning is not as effective as reading or going through your books. You also do not need to do a postmortem of every sentence in the book while reading. Simply read through the books like you would read a novel and you would be amazed at how much you manage to remember.

6. Read a little everyday

When your study term starts, start reading at least 5 pages a day. This will take merely 20 minutes or so, and the memory of it will surely help you in the long run because subconsciously we absorb a lot whilst just skimming through the pages everyday. Be wise and start early.

7. Practice meditation

The main reason why students are not well prepared is because they find it difficult to concentrate and focus on their studies. They have short attention spans and are easily distracted. The cure for this is practicing meditation daily for a mere half an hour to improve mental stability and focus. Regular meditation makes your mind calm and at peace, so that you are able to concentrate better on the matter that you have to study and not easily distracted or bored.
