Proper care of teeth has to be taken daily so that you never have to make a dentist appointment besides the regular dental check ups. Follow these easy breezy tips for maintaining your oral health.
1. Floss your teeth after every meal
Flossing helps on removing bits of food that are stuck on or inside the teeth after meals. It reaches places at the sides of the teeth where a toothbrush can’t. Even if the food remnants are not visible, you ought to floss as tiny unseen or hidden particles that inevitably remain inside the mouth after eating.
2. Clean your gums with a dry bristle toothbrush
Teeth and gums can also be cleaned without toothpaste with just water and a toothbrush. Toothpaste provides calcium and fluoride to strengthen the teeth. Otherwise the cleaning bit depends on your toothbrush and how you move it inside your mouth. Spend time moving the dry bristles, before or after brushing, at and below the gum line, where it is most important to clean.
3. Invest in a tongue scraper
In order to fight mouth odor, using a tongue scraper works best. It is an important part of oral hygiene which removes the plaque on your tongue, freshens breath and slows down the accumulation of plaque on your teeth.
