When you accept a stranger’s friends request, you don’t know anything about him/her. This can well affect your system. There is no proper method to verify a Facebook account. So, it is possible the person you add in your friend’s list could be fake. A fake account can further add to your problems. What if the person is a serial stalker, in that case you would be in real trouble. So, verify the authenticity of the account before accepting the friends request, because it is better to be safe than sorry, right?
7. It is better to block the person
If you find that someone has a suspicious account, you just check on his/her Facebook profile. Also, search for the name and get to know all the details as possible. If the person seems genuine to you, then do keep the person on your friends list. But, if you don’t trust that person, then simply block the person or unfriend him/her from the list. This is the best way to stay safe.
