7 Marriage Myths Debunked
Myth 5. Your in-laws hate you
If you are getting married with the presumption that your in-laws are going to hate you, it is a wrong foundation to base your marriage on. Not all in-laws are monsters in disguise and not all mothers-in-law are possessive above their sons. Try to look at your in-laws as another set of parents rather than people who are out there to hate you.
Myth 6. You should get married only after you are financially stable
Although it is widely accepted that couples should get married only after they have finished studying and are financially stable, it may not always hold true. It is a myth that married couples who are still in college or struggling financially will have a bad marriage. In fact, some of the best memories of marriage may be formed during a couples’ journey of building a life together.
Myth 7. Married couples live longer
There have been many claims that married couples live longer but this is now considered to be magazine trivia. There is no real statistical proof that this claim holds any water. So if you are getting married, don’t be under the false impression that your longevity will be increased by default.
