7 Interesting Facts About Dreams
5. Most of the dreams cannot be recalled
It’s difficult to remember 90% of a dream, upon waking up 10 minutes after the occurrence of the dream. If you wake up after 5 minutes, you can recall only half of the dream. Most of the time, human beings tend to wake up only after a full night’s sleep and hence they cannot recall their dreams.
6. Dreams talk in symbols
When you dream of something, it isn’t necessary that what you’ve seen is what the dream is all about. It may be symbolizing something else. For example, in a dream, if you find you are unable to control your car’s steering and it is heading to a cliff, it doesn’t mean you are going to die from a cliff. It may mean that you seem to have lost control over things in your real life or it may be a precognitive thought of losing control.
7. Animals do dream
Research reveals, animals report the same frequency of brain waves which human beings experience while dreaming. Many a times, cats and dogs may be seen moving their paws, when actually they are in deep sleep. At such times, in reality, they are dreaming.
