7 Healthy Snack Recipes
5. Frozen fruit sticks
A power packed snack that has a fancy name and a fancier appearance to it. Take the juice of two limes. Cut 4 passion fruits and scrape out the seeds. Add the pulp to the lime juice and put in 1 teaspoon of icing sugar. This makes the super easy drizzle sauce for the fruits. Next, take 3.5 oz halved strawberries, 8 seedless grapes and 3.5 oz each of mango and melon chunks. If need be, you can also introduce chunks of kiwi and pineapples. Run them into wooden skewers and drizzle the prepared sauce. Put the skewers in the freezer for about 45 minutes. Remove them and drizzle the remaining sauce and gorge on taste and goodness.
6. Seedy delight
Some seeds are powerhouses of nutrition. Yogurt is another delightful food. And mix the two; you have a energy filling experience. Take a serving of natural yogurt and incorporate sesame, pumpkin and sunflower seeds in it. Add a pinch of cinnamon for flavor. This is an anytime snack.
7. Chickpea poppers
You can use canned chickpeas or freshly boiled ones for this snack recipe but thoroughly drain them of their water and moisture. Use extra virgin olive oil, dried oregano and garlic salt on the chickpeas. Roast them at 400 degrees until they turn crisp.
