5. You don’t warm up enough

One of the reasons why you get tired really quickly, or end up injuring yourself every now and then in the gym is because you don’t warm up enough. This warm up should ideally NOT be stretching, because most people find it boring and cheat on it. Instead, warm up on the lowest or the easiest mode of whichever machine you had to go on first, whether it was the jogging one or the cycling one. Exercise on the lowest mode for about 10 minutes, and then gradually increase the levels. That will help your body get a steady and decent warm up, with a smooth transition into the workout zone.

6. You eat a pre-gym snack

Are you of the opinion that a pre-gym snack gives you the energy to exercise well in the gym? Well, you can only be right if your choice of the snack is correct! In other words, what most people end up eating before going to the gym are high-fiber fruits or nutrition bars, which only make a person sluggish and waste gym hours in burning down the energy given by that particular snack. So basically, your exercise is only working towards getting rid of that snack from your belly and nothing else. Instead, you should opt for easily digestible foods like bananas, which even if consumed before the gym only take a little time to get broken down in the body, post which, your exercises are working on breaking down the ‘fat’ in your body. For that matter, even avoid apples, as they are high on fiber!

7. You over indulge after the gym

You think you’ve done a good job at the gym and so you over indulge later, thinking that you’ll burn it out tomorrow. If you keep on doing this everyday, then everyday you’ll only be burning the previous day’s fat, and will never be able to work on that fat accumulated over the years, which you started to fight off in the first place. So don’t over indulge after your gym sessions, come what may. Only replenish your body with whatever is necessary and required.
